FOUNDER REVIEW PENDING

Built for the contractor who has no back office — and has always done everything themselves.

Foremind is an AI back office for small contractors. This page is the why behind it: who built it, where the idea came from, and the mission that drives every feature the team ships.

FOUNDER REVIEW PENDING

B spent years working with contractors — learning how jobs got run, watching bids come together and fall apart, and noticing the same gap everywhere. The people doing the best work were losing jobs to bigger shops not because their price was wrong, but because the bigger shops had someone in the office handling follow-up, scheduling, and client communication. The small operator had to be everyone at once, and there were only so many hours.

After watching that pattern repeat across dozens of trades and hundreds of jobs, B started looking for the lever that would actually close the gap — not another project-management tool the contractor had to maintain, but something that could hold the full state of a job and act on it the way a back-office employee would.

Foremind is that lever. It does not give a small contractor a dashboard to manage. It gives them an employee that handles estimating, scheduling, crew coordination, and client updates on every job — so the contractor can spend the day building, not catching up.

“The best contractors in any market win on craftsmanship, speed, and follow-through — not on who has the biggest office.”

The origin

Small contractors were losing jobs to firms that had a back office. They did not.

A sole operator or a tight crew can out-build a mid-size firm on any given job. But mid-size firms have someone answering the phone when the client calls on Tuesday, someone sending the revised estimate on Wednesday, and someone scheduling the sub on Thursday. The small shop owner is the estimator, the scheduler, the account manager, and the foreman — and by the time the paperwork is done, the job has already gone to someone else.

The gap is not skill. It is not price. It is throughput. The mid-size shop can process more bids, respond faster, and follow through more consistently — not because their contractors are better, but because they have people in the office handling the work that does not require a trade license. The small shop operator does all of it alone, after hours, on a margin that does not leave room for another hire.

Foremind was built because that gap should not exist. The work is now automatable. The small shop can have the same throughput as the mid-size firm — without adding headcount to do it.

What the small shop is up against

Losing bids not because the price was wrong, but because the response arrived two days late

Re-doing the schedule by hand every time weather or a material delivery slips

Being the estimator, the scheduler, the account manager, and the foreman — all at once

Doing the paperwork at 10 p.m. after a full day on the job site, every night

Our mission

Every contractor deserves a back office.

Not a better app to manage themselves. Not a portal to log into. A back office — an entity that handles estimating, scheduling, crew coordination, and client communication the same way an office employee would, without the payroll, without the ramp time, and without the contractor having to teach it their system.

That is what every feature in Foremind is built around. If it gives the contractor something new to manage, it does not ship. If it takes something off their plate and handles it to completion, it does.

Mission

“Every contractor deserves a back office that works as hard as they do, without hiring one.”

Every feature Foremind ships is measured against this line — does it give the contractor a back office, or does it give them another tool?

Speed is a bid strategy.

The contractor who responds in four hours wins over the contractor who responds in four days — even at the same price. A back office answers fast.

No staff. No overhead.

Mid-size firms win admin work with headcount. Foremind gives a four-person shop the same throughput — without the payroll, the onboarding, or the hiring cycle.

Built for the trade, not the enterprise.

Every decision in Foremind is made for the contractor running a 5–20 person crew on their phone between job sites — not for a procurement team rolling out software in two years.

Give your shop a back office — see the pricing, or get on the waitlist.

Foremind handles estimating, scheduling, crew coordination, and client updates on every job — starting with the next one. Read the pricing, drop your email for the early access list, or email the founder directly if you want to talk before either.

We'll email you once when early access opens. No spam, no listicles.
